Well, where to start in London! As vegans we are spoilt for choice in the capital. In the past I've had great vegan meals in many restaurants, including.....
SAF - for great raw food, although they also now do cooked

Green Note - lovely tapas menu

Manna

222 - for a special night out.

But, on Saturday we chose to sample a Mexican (yes, can you see a theme developing, I seem to be being pulled towards Mexican food at the moment!!!) with some friends.
We chose Mestizo in NW1. Although omnivorous, they have a separate vegan menu with a great choice of food.

The Panucho starter was incredibly tasty, and the MOLCAJETE ‘MESTIZO’ to share was gorgeous. Served sizzling in a volcanic stone pig bowl, the sauce was so tasty!
Our friends chose the ENCHILADAS DE PAPA, which they said were very tasty.
We rounded off our meal with Margaritas and a flaming Cacuracha! We'll definitely be back.
On the same road there is also a vegetarian Indian restaurant, called Ravishankar, which serves a great buffet until 5pm. I'm not always a huge fan of Indian food, but I've been here a few times and always enjoyed the food. The waiters are happy to point out which meals are vegan, in fact they generally just point out which ones aren't as that takes less time!
When I mention that I am vegan, I often get the response "But it must be so difficult eating out". So I decided to start a blog to show you how easy it actually is! Over the coming months and years I aim to record on here, the various restaurants, veggie and none veggie, that I've eaten at, and the meals I've enjoyed.

Bournemouth - October 2012
Well, where to to start in Bournemouth!!!!!
We couldn't visit Bournemouth without a visit to Zoukinis!
http://zoukinis.com/
Their menu is fantastic for vegans. We have now eaten breakfast, lunch, and evening meal in there, and every meal has been a fantastic taste sensation! I just wish I'd had space to fit in a vegan dessert!
The service is top class, and you are guaranteed a friendly welcome.
I can highly recommend the burritos, although the lunchtime falafel wraps are also divine!
We also generally try and visit a more "mainstream" restaurant on our travels, as we are often eating with none vegan friends.
At the moment we are going through a bit of a Mexican phase, so Corianders in Bournemouth was crying out to be tried!

Although an omnivorous restaurant, they also cater for vegans, veggies, and gluten free, and the menu is very clearly marked.
We sampled the veggie fajitas with a side of refried beans and fried potatoes. Delicious, and very filling.
Bournemouth is certainly a town we'll be revisiting!

Norwich - November 2012
We were spending a couple of days in Norwich, so I did my usual google search to see what eating options there were.
Loving Hut was the first place that I found, and the menu looked delicious, so on Saturday, off we set to look for it.

Unfortunately, it looks like their refurbishment has over run, as the restaurant was all locked up :-(
So, as time was now running short, we reverted to that failsafe standby, a cheeseless veggie pizza! Pizza Hut list their Pan Pizza bases as vegan friendly, so a veggie hot one, without cheese, and with extra olives, satisfied those rumbling tums!
Sunday, it was back to google for another look.....

What a find! This really is a lovely restaurant. There menu is clearly labelled so you can see which items are vegan or vegan adaptable. They also cater for gluten free diets.
I had the goan curry with sweet potatoes and lentils, on a bed of Basmati rice. Very very tasty, and very filling. The vegan chocolate fudge brownies went down very well with my sweet toothed boyfriend!
